Psychics may or may not be able to foretell the future, but whether they can or can’t, the way they do it is through their extra sensory perception. They are able to pass through time and space veritably without effort, and they can "sense" things. Astrologers on the other hand use the planetary influences to guide their imaginations. So if a psychic uses a birth chart, he is really practicing astrology. The planets, the constellations, and the houses are used to form meanings which are used to foretell. A "psychic" might be able to use a good sense of astrology and in combination with a sort of sixth sense which goes into paranormal thought, to see things, similar to the way a person known as a savant can automatically know the product of 27987 and 47387.
