How much do the circumstances of birth affect our astrology readings & How should I interpret my situation?
I mostly have an issue with my own astrological details. I was 6 weeks overdue, spanning three sun signs, and was birthed Cesarean on Dec. 23rd 1982. My Original Due Date was Nov. 11th, 1982.
My question is mostly about the interpretation, I’m just not sure how much would change due to the lateness of my birth. Any thoughts?
You can find my birth charts below.

I’m not sure how much of a combination I am, due to the nature of our minds to see the things we’re looking for. I wind up reading all three horoscopes, and just taking it all evenly.
Am I Scorpio or Capricorn? More Sagittarius?
Please everyone, feel free to weigh your thoughts. They are worth more than two pennies to me.
Thanks,
Ri
Thanks for the insight jupiter.
Have you read the details I posted?
I’m asking how much the 6 weeks overdue part affects my reading.
Also I should add that the Capricorn horoscope is usually the least accurate of the three, for me.
Thanks lala. That is reassuring.
What I am mostly interested in is theory and opinion regarding whether the extra gestation would be affect the astrology.
Though astrology is usually considered at time of birth, couldn’t the early awareness and integration into the life stream affect the accuracy of the reading?
If the theory of astrology is that the energy fields of the planets interact with our own energy in particular ways, that lead to personality differences, then it makes sense that the extra time within the mother, and their combined energy, would play off the energy differently.
A month and a half is pretty significant in baby time.
It seems to me that with the timing so far off, and the great differences in the alignment of the planets energies during that time, that it would be probable to affect the child.

Time we know is the astrologer’s god. It means everything. However, few people know their real birth time. You are counting on some intern to get it right, if you are born in a hospital. If it’s that important, better have a GPS with you when you are due. There are some countries do not even record the time. In the British Commonwealth (including Canada and Australia) nations, time is not required just day. Except for twins, first out is the legal heir. Quite often the exact time is not accurate.
Some astrologers think that first breath by the baby is the magic switch that activates this magical concept. Premature births babies often need a ventilator because they can not breath on the own. So they are not taking crucial breathing on there own.
Not including the premature births, about one third of the births in the U.S. are induced labor or c-section. A lot of these may be of convenience (the doctor’s golfing today), a deadline, or an emergency. Now there is the science to freeze embryos for years beyond conception. Science can screw up what would be a "natural" birth time. As a parent, is it not better that medical science can save preemie’s lives? Instead of worrying about a made-up, ancient, unproved and bigoted concept? Not too long ago this may not happen.
If you choose to accept that people have no free will and are programed like computers, then you need a a proper chart. This will set all your stereotypes, so accurate time is vital. No astrologer will use a "what if" birth chart. Moon and Rising signs and the planet positions (real and made up) are very important to the astrologer. They need the whole picture.
There are no theories of astrology only point of view speculation. Use another internet service and they will say something completely different. As for evidence, there is none for how astrology can work, but there is plenty for why it can’t.
You were born on Thursday 23rd of December 1982 when the Sun had moved in Capricorn. At midnight 0.49 deg. When a child is born it is as though the right and left hands are projected out into the zodiac also the feet and that stops the zodiac clock. Your birth chart is a picture of the nights sky at the time, date and place of your birth.
There are planets in Sagittarius, and it is natural to seek to find, to discover. Neptune here can seem for you to muddy waters and make you feel unsure and insecure with the information you have/receive.
So settle down now you know the Sun was in Capricorn when you were born. Once you learn Astrology you will be able to read ‘what took place’ prior to your birth. I suggest you take up the subject. Remember you are a whole person not just your Sun sign. xx
There no such thing as being born before or after your time ; it was your destiny to be born Dec the 23 ; and you are Capricorn ; and a real one ; because you think and love like a Cap [ your mercury and venus are in Cap ] Saturn is very place for you ; Yes Saturn was in Scorpio which make a trine to your Sun . What does it mean ; well it mean ;’ success ; so in the future read Cap ; but for the next 3 years Pluto is transiting your Sun ; so expect some ordeal
