Well, I think many people have the wrong idea about palm reading, it’s important to first read and gather as much information about a subject as possible before having concrete opinions (in reference to some answerers of this and other palmistry questions).
I personally have seen very accurate and helpful hand readings on many occasions.
Check out this site http://www.mrspalmreader.com to get a better idea about palmistry.
Also view this article for a little more insight into how palmistry should/could be used

Hope this helps,

I don’t believe its fake, but then I work with the spirit world. There are many things that people want proof with with their own eyes to believe.

If you want to do it for a bit of fun and relatively harmless entertainment (unless you make life altering decisions on what you find) go ahead, if you want to know the truth, then read on and forget this fakery.
Firstly think about it logically, how on earth could the lines on your hand which have been there since birth have any possible influence on if you get married and have children? or how long you will live.
Palm reading falls under the category of ‘cold reading’ just like Tarot Cards, Crystal Balls, Graphology, Astrology, Aura readings etc they can be very convincing when conducted by an experienced faker, believe me.
Some palmists even advertise readings by post, just send them a photocopy of your palm (plus money of course), this has easily been disproved by sending them palm prints of incarcerated mass murderers, rapists and paedophiles, invariably returning with ‘glowing’ testimonies.
James Randi a the master debunker of all paranormal claims, he will give $1,000,000 to anyone who can prove it works, he has accepted challenges from all the ‘cold readers’ mentioned above, he has held on to his cheque for ten years.
So if you find someone who can read your palm and prove it, ask him why he has not taken this challenge, if he says he doesn’t do it for money or some other equally lame excuse, tell him to give the money to ‘Children in need’.
