The bible has strong warnings against them because there is always some truth but it is mixed with lies for an evil purpose. i believe you don’t open such doorways, you often times can’t close. You are tampering with evil spirits when you do those things, the only truth is Jesus. As for psychics, I don’t believe in that, the devil has his version of every good thing of God, which would be a gift of prophecy. They are totally different. Prophecy is for the uplifting of the body of Christ, and to do his good works. It is something from and of God, not an evil replica that pales in comparison.
Do demons have powers?
BULL@#&^
I really like Derren Brown. He’s done some pretty interesting stuff.
Lemme check my tea leaves… Yup. They are.
The reading itself is true. The subject is false and devilish in origin and purpose.
No. However, some people maybe psychic.
Nahh, I only trust in Jesus
Being that I do almost all of them, yes, I do think they are true, or at least accurate some of the time.
They CAN be..
Otherwise why would the Bible warn us about the practices.
Deuteronomy 18 ; 10 There should not be found in you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire, anyone who employs divination, a practicer of magic or anyone who looks for omens or a sorcerer, 11 or one who binds others with a spell or anyone who consults a spirit medium or a professional foreteller of events or anyone who inquires of the dead. 12 For everybody doing these things is something detestable to Jehovah, and on account of these detestable things Jehovah your God is driving them away from before you.
And there is the Bible story of a young girl with the power of divination…
Acts 16; 16 And it happened that as we were going to the place of prayer, a certain servant girl with a spirit, a demon of divination, met us. She used to furnish her masters with much gain by practicing the art of prediction. 17 This [girl] kept following Paul and us and crying out with the words: “These men are slaves of the Most High God, who are publishing to YOU the way of salvation.” 18 This she kept doing for many days. Finally Paul got tired of it and turned and said to the spirit: “I order you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her.” And it came out that very hour. 19 Well, when her masters saw that their hope of gain had left, they laid hold of Paul and Silas and dragged them into the marketplace to the rulers, 20 and, leading them up to the civil magistrates, they said: “These men are disturbing our city very much, they being Jews, 21 and they are publishing customs that it is not lawful for us to take up or practice, seeing we are Romans.”
Paul really messed up their profitmaking.
