Why is palm reading so accurate with some people and completely off with others?

My friends and I recently had our palms read, and for my friend, so many of the things she said were pretty spot on for her.
However, my reading was inaccurate – well all the stuff about my past was. I hope the future is inaccurate too, as the palm reader said I would have a miscarriage before having 2 children, which worries me…

You pretty much answered your own question yourself.The reason the results of palm readings are so inconsistent is because whomever is conducting the reading can’t really ascertain anything about your future by looking at your hands. I’ve spoken to quite a few people who have had their palms read at some stage in their lives. Only one of them reported that the results of the reading came true, although she is heavily into New Age mysticism and i believe that a self fulfilling prophecy played a big part in her experience.
I wouldn’t be worried by what a palm reader, tarot reader, your horoscopes or the milkman say to you. Just live your life as you would and try to stay away from mad men/women.

A honest card/ palm reader would never state anything bad for a start!! So she would never have said you will have a miscarriage, anyone helpful would have said they could see you having 2 children in the future.
My mum has her palm and cards read loads of times they have always told her when I was about to be pregnant and the sex of the baby and where always right, although the numerous people she has met along the way have told her that I will be a writer by the time I am 30!! that is 1 yr and 3 months, and have not had pen to paper in a writing matter other than my current uni degree!!!!!
So you win some lose some, If nothing so far has come true then it is likely you have paid someone a lot of money for a load of rubbish!!
you ought to go slap dat palm reader for saying such trash.. and they do it for money too… beleive me.. they’re nothing but good guessers of peoples characters and personality.. we all capable of some of that to an extent.. we just dont think we should make money out of it..
and, there are people in the world who can do future predictions, but they use media and past events as a guide…. not just some carni in a darkend room… gah.. mere tricks! same for tea leaf reading and any other reading…… well placed guessing has been around for centuries.
That shit freaks Me out. My missus does stuff like that and they are usually 90% accurate, even about tiny little details unique to us.

Palm reading is mostly intuitive, like the kind of psychic reading i do. Any person who is only reading the geography of the palm will have a lot of inaccuracy.
