Would psychic energy be a consumable property that psychics have a set supply of & have to recharge after use?

If people were to have psychic powers, then would there be energy for it that could be used up and have to be recharged after use? What would they do to recharge their power? Would it be meditation? Magic food? Sleeping? Psychic energy transfers? What would it be?

You draw energy from nature to "charge" your batteries. This is true for people with depression as well. Connecting to nature aligns you with the energy of creation. It is a part of us…even though we are constantly building on top of it.
You couldn’t really bottle it but the supply is limitless. Psychic energy is only a part of a bigger energy. What you are speaking of flows through our bodies, nature and the Universe, it never runs out. Sometimes we block it or have blockages that decrease the flow but that energy is always attempting to flow through us in a conscious way.
Those of us who don’t acknowledge our souls, have a hard time feeling that energy but it is there and can be applied.
well, energy is a measure of the potential for the ability to do work.Work is the force applied times the distance something is moved.
Psychic abilities all involve getting something for nothing which is currently considered impossible. So I don’t see how the terms energy and work can be applied to psychic abilities.
I think psychic abilities need to be approach faith and fantasy, as they do not work with current physics formulas.
Please hear me out before jumping to the wrong conclusion and only half read this long [sorry] answer to your question. It is well meant.
It doesn’t appear to me that we generate psychic energy to do work in our special field. I don’t think we "run out" or need to resupply ourselves. I think there is a whole new physics dynamic that won’t allow the energy utilized by "psychical actions" to be defined in the standard form of 1950′s physics [Define physics as the study of the interaction of energy and matter].
There are descriptions out there, being demonstrated in cutting edge physics, called Quantum Physics. [Reference below to Dr. Harold Puthoff & Brian Smith] It appears to me this is the field that will eventually assist us in understanding the functions of the various forms of esp.
What I do think is that we sort of tap into the field we are utilizing for esp in what ever way we use it psychically. But,I feel our body and mind do run out of energy and do need to be replenished.
Physically, we need to monitor our normal out put and eat, sleep and laugh [friends and family are essential to this equation of health to be at your best]
Mentally, we need rest & brain food in the forms of YOUR choice. Laughter, sharing friends, peace [religion, belief sets, church, meditation] or what ever you have discovered pulls you up by the boot straps when low.
Please take the development of your skills as a joy and adventure. Pass through and observe some thrills, some fears, loves, frustrations,and joys. It will be what you make it. I for one am not going to sit back and leave those things that are unconventional within me to just …sit and wither away due to misuse.
I do want to mention that there are people out there whom my husband refers to as psychic vampires. These are people that capitalize on your emotional energy and "run you down". This should not be confused with esp. It is a normal skill that many children demonstrate. If you have young children you will recognize it! Think about when you get sick and the little ones are around and constantly demand attention in one way or another… They seem to focus in on when a parent is at their lowest energy level in order to gain an advantage.
But this is not esp…it is body language and familiarity.
And, yes as I get older my opinions have changed and grown. I think this was an awesome question. Thank you for allowing me a chance to share my opinions. I love a good discussion with all here, especially when the question is not "slanted".
I would think mostly any energy that is projected by another would be able to be absorbed. Like when you are listening to a song and you feel the energy from it. It is the same theory as succubi/incubi. They are said to use the emotional energy of people.
